Do you offer editing samples & quotes?
I offer both. The quotes are personalized per author. I also strongly recommend a free sample edit to see if we are a good fit. The sample edit is 5 pages of a close development and line edits for you to judge if my style works for you, but also to see what type of service you might want.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I offer payment plans.
Do you require a deposit?
I collect a non-refundable deposit, equating to 20% of the total bill. This deposit, along with the contract, allows me to reserve your spot for editing.
How long will it take for you to edit my book?
It’ll take me 4-6 weeks to edit your book, 6-8 weeks if your book is over 120k words. I’m often booked out months in advance, so that must be considered as a factor as well.
What genres do you work with?
While I love to read many different genres, check out the bottom of my Services page for a more in depth look at what I specialize in. And what kind of stories I would not be the best fit for.
Do you offer rush editing?
Yes, I offer rush edits. Depending on the length of your book and timeline, an additional 30-50% rush charge will be added to your bill.
Do you require contracts?
Yes, I’ll prepare a contract for us once we decide to work together (after the sample edit and choosing a start date). A contract protects both of us, your manuscript, and outlines everything necessary so there’s no miscommunication.
What type of files do you accept?
Microsoft Word is preferable to get the best experience. However, I am able to accept Google Docs.
